The Garden

a conversation between the Gardener and God

“He said, “What is the Kingdom of God like? And to what shall I compare it? It is like a grain of mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his GARDEN, and it grew and became a tree, and the birds of the air made nests in its branches.”

Luke 13:18-19

It takes many buds to make a flower bed; it takes many hands to make a garden.
This is for women and men interested in the overlap between psychology, theology, and art,
called to bloom beyond themselves and come into sacred communion with God.

  • Spring (March, April, May)

  • Summer (June, July, August)

  • Autumn (September, October, November)

  • Winter (December, January, February)

In 2024 we had the themes of Sowing Seeds (Spring), Worthy Waiting (Summer), Inviting Intimacy (Autumn) with many more to come.

You are invited to bloom beyond yourself into a personal and collective communion with God through…

  • Engage in practices that promote reflection and a deeper connection with God. Through sacred stillness, wonder walks, journaling, and sowing Scripture, you can explore your inner life and find rest in God’s presence. Contemplation emphasizes slowing down and tuning into the sacred, helping you foster spiritual growth and awareness.

    • Sacred Stillness: Quiet reflection, meditation, or silent prayer, allowing you to connect with the sacred in your own way.

    • Wonder Walk: Nature wandering and outdoor reflection to experience the sacred through creation, tapping into a sense of awe.

    • Journey Journaling: Prompts for reflective writing to explore your inner life and spiritual journey, grounded in themes of peace and presence.

    • Sowing Scripture: Passages from Scripture to memorize and meditate on, encouraging a deeper understanding of God’s Word.

  • Build true, meaningful relationships within the community through physical, emotional, and conversational practices. Through holding hands, heartfelt hugs, intimate intercessions, and deep dialogue, we create bonds of support, comfort, and vulnerability. These practices enable us to connect deeply with one another, fostering a sense of belonging and allowing us to grow together in faith and spiritual understanding.

    • Holding Hands: Join hands as a gesture of unity and connection, creating a physical bond that symbolizes support and shared humanity.

    • Heartfelt Hugs: Experience the warmth of heartfelt hugs, fostering a sense of belonging, emotional connection, and comfort.

    • Intimate Intercession: Practice intercessory prayer for one another in groups of two-three, creating loving bonds.

    • Deep Dialogue: Discussions on faith, doubt, and spiritual growth, welcoming diverse perspectives, and seeking the Truth together.

  • Celebrate the sacred through acts of generosity, creativity, and joy. In The Garden we come together to share our unique gifts, express gratitude, and strengthen bonds through Conscious Creation, Artful Acts, Worthy Worship, and Family Feasts. Together, we foster a community where giving, receiving, and celebrating God’s presence enriches us all.

    • Conscious Creation: Offer your unique gifts, to serve and support others, fostering a culture of generosity and collaboration within and beyond The Garden community.

    • Artful Acts: Use creative expressions like photography, painting, poetry, plants, or playing music as a form of service, inspiring and uplifting the community with beauty.

    • Worthy Worship: Celebrating and praising God, each other, and yourself from a place of worthiness.

    • Family Feast: Sharing food, joining around the table, and enjoying good company.

A question for you…

What will become of your stories?

Gardens or Graves?

What will become of your stories? • Gardens or Graves? •

If your answer is “Gardens” - The Garden might be for you.

In The Garden, your story is welcome.
Together, we nourish each other to turn our stories from graves into gardens.

In the Garden, you…

  • with women and men and allow yourself be seen by a community that are in different walks in life; in bewilderness, in communion, in oneness with God.

“For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.” - Matthew 18:20

  • in faith and bring heaven (vision) into reality (earth) by making the seemingly impossible possible with the power of God and The Garden membership.

"I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow." - 1 Corinthians 3:6-7

  • the Holy Trinity (God-Jesus-Holy Spirit) who, through faith, saves you from your sins and gives you the new life, way, and Truth.

“Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.”

Yet not I, but through Christ in me

Life is largely made up of the transitions in-between sowing a seed and seeing it Bloom. If we are attuned, God can guide us through transitions, and one of the most powerful way that He does this, is that He speaks through your fellow people spread in your local community nd all across the Earth.

All you have to do is position yourself in an intentional community aligned with where you are, and you shall receive more guidance from Him. God says, “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” (Psalm 32:8)

Receiving God’s “loving eye on you” starts with you letting yourself be witnessed, seen, and loved as you grow the the garden of your life and find yourself the in-between seasons. They include, but are not limited to the dry season, the waiting season, the grinding season, the tests & trials season, and the spiritual warfare season.

Whatever transition you are experiencing, and whether you are not yet a Christian, a born again Christian, or a lifelong Christian, this community will welcome you with open arms. We believe God is with you regardless where you are on your faith-walk, it’s just about practicing feeling Him wherever He has planted your feet now.

Having personally grown from atheism, to new age spirituality, to being redeemed into Christianity, I have experienced how spiritual transitions and transformations can be incredibly challenging, but also bring the deepest and most profound life-altering revelations.

When you grow through transitions, it is tempting to go the walk alone with God, but His divine plan wasn’t for us to live in isolation. He created us to find belonging and bonding through our shared experience of growing through transitions and the many in-between’s. ”The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.” (Genesis 2:18)

Coming to Christ through the recovery of an accident, Jesus showed me the importance of COMMUNITY through the presence and the hands of the people that helped me. Community starts with a connection between you and God, and this unity then will Bloom Beyond into your other relationships. ”How wonderful and pleasant it is when brothers (and sisters) live together in harmony!” (Psalm 133:1)

In the Garden…

We practice giving Glory to God in our lives no matter which season we are in, and we let Him move us to Bloom Beyond life challenges in His time and in His Way. We do that by growing to be more Jesus-loving towards ourselves and others, and by honing our senses to hear, see, feel, and know The Holy Spirit, which is our compass.

What we all have in common inside The Garden community is that we are Truth Seekers committed to be vessels for God to connect, commune, and create through. That starts by softening into the presence of other Gardeners.

Together, we grow in faith, and by doing so, we Bloom Beyond any transitions. On the other side of this inner and outer world, is the light God, and so is the full potential of who we are an in Him. In all, we sow mustard seeds of faith that move mountains.
